Hotel Privacy

To provide our guests with positive experiences in a safe, clean, and pleasant setting is our main goal at Droppy Inn Villa. Based on industry standards, management and operational procedures, and our personal experience in owning and running Altamont Hotels, the following Hotel Policy/House Rules have been established. These Hotel Policy/House Rules are included in our reservation agreement. By reading and signing your hotel registration, as a guest, you agree to comply with all of our hotel policy, house rules, terms and conditions, and procedures. In order to ensure that our guests are safe and enjoying Droppy Inn Villa, these Hotel Policy/House Rules are presented here. They also ensure that everyone is aware of the agreement between Droppy Inn Villa and their guests.

ADDITIONAL BEDDING

On request, a small number of extra beds and infant cribs are offered. A King room or Suite is only available on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost per night is $20.00 per person plus tax.

ALCOHOL POLICY

If guests of legal age who are registered bring their own alcoholic beverages, they have to drink them in their rooms. Only those who are 18 years of age or older are permitted to consume alcohol at special events that are catered by licensed caterers with permits to serve or sell alcohol.

BREAKFAST

Only enrolled guests are eligible for free breakfast if they have purchased a BP (breakfast plan). It is not permitted for guests to eat free breakfast with a registered guest. At the Front Desk, visitors may pay $10.00 per person.

CANCELLATION
Any weather-related delays, personal emergencies, or schedule modifications are not the responsibility of Droppy Inn Villa. You will be charged a one-night full room cancellation fee if your reservation is not canceled forty-eight (48) hours before your arrival date.

Less than 48 hours prior to the arrival date, reservations may be canceled and the full room cost plus taxes may be charged to your credit card. Only the first night and taxes are due if you are staying more than one (1) night. Get the cancellation number and keep it for your records if you need to cancel any reservations.

CHANGES OR MODIFICATION TO THE HOTEL POLICY
The arrangements and content on our hotel website, as well as these hotel policies and house rules, may be altered, modified, changed, cancelled, varied, or added to at any time without prior notice, according to Droppy Inn Villa.

CHECK-IN REQUIREMENTS 
To check into the Droppy Inn Villa, a visitor must be at least eighteen years old. Guests must verify their identity at check-in by presenting a valid government-issued photo ID (passport, driver’s license, etc.) in order to protect security and prevent fraud.

CHECK-IN TIME
2:30 p.m.

CHECK-OUT TIME
The rental period for the room ends at 11:00 a.m. A potential late checkout fee of one extra day, plus tax, may be incurred.

CHECK-OUT PROCEDURE
11:00 a.m. is the check-out time. Kindly notify the front desk upon your departure so that housekeeping can start cleaning your room right away. Please get in touch with Front Desk at least one day before your departure if you need a later check-out time, and we will try our best to comply. There might be a fee for a late check-out.

CHILDREN
All ages of well-behaved kids are welcome. When utilizing the existing bedding in a room with one or more paying adults, children 12 years of age and younger stay free of charge. You are personally and legally obligated to look after and supervise children as their parents, guardians, or chaperones at all times. Please do not let children wander the hotel grounds unattended or leave them alone in guest rooms for safety reasons. The Swimming pool does not permit children under the age of thirteen to enter without the presence of a parent, guardian, or chaperone.

CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION BY CORPORATE THIRD-PARTIES
To obtain a Credit Card Authorization form, please call the Droppy Inn Villa reservations department at (876)000-000 at least 24 hours before the guest’s arrival. Prior to the guest’s arrival, we must process the approval for your reservations and receive the information by fax at (876) 00-000.

DAMAGE AND/OR THEFT OF HOTEL PROPERTY
Whether caused by an intentional, careless, or reckless act, you are responsible for any damage you or any member of your party, whether or not they stay at the hotel during your stay, cause to the room(s), the hotel’s property, or any other item. The credit card and/or debit card details that you provided at registration may be retained by Droppy Inn Villa, and it may charge or debit the credit/debit card with any amounts that it determines, at its sole discretion, are required to cover or reimburse Droppy Inn Villa costs or expenses incurred or suffered as a result of the aforementioned.

DAMAGE DISCOVERED AFTER CHECK-OUT
If a guest room is discovered to be completely disorganized or “trashed,” there may be fees for third parties, administration, and/or deep cleaning by maintenance.

DAMAGE TO MATTRESSES AND BEDDING
If body oils, makeup, shoe shine, or other substances cause damage to mattresses or linens, such as towels, mattress pads, sheets, blankets, or bedspreads, there will be a fee for the special cleaning, repair, or replacement of the damaged item.

DAMAGE TO ROOM
Damage to rooms, fixtures, furnishings, and equipment—including taking away towels, art, electronic devices, and other items—will be reimbursed at a rate equal to 100% of the item’s brand-new replacement value, plus any applicable shipping and handling costs. For each individual room, the registered guest bears responsibility for any accidental or intentional damage to hotel property. The registered guest’s credit card will be billed for any necessary replacements or repairs. Criminal charges will be pursued in extreme circumstances.

DAMAGE OR TAMPERING WITH FIRE DETECTION SYSTEMS/FIRE-FIGHTING EQUIPMENT
Any guest or visitor who is discovered to have tampered with or interfered with any of the hotel’s detection equipment, including the break glass points, fire extinguishers, and detector heads in public areas and guest rooms, will face disciplinary action from Droppy Inn Villa. Visitors or guests who are discovered to have tampered with any fire detection or firefighting apparatus will be responsible for paying any expenses the hotel incurs as a result of their actions and will be asked to leave the premises.

At the hotel’s discretion, law enforcement may get involved, depending on how serious the guest actions were. We reserve the right, and you hereby authorize us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the hotel property during your stay, including and without limitation for all property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking fee, cleaning fee, guest compensation, etc., should it become apparent after the guest has left that fire-fighting or detection equipment had been tampered with.

DEBIT CARD/CREDIT CARD HOLDERS

If your credit card is not signed, it is not valid. An unsigned card will be rejected. Upon check-in, you will be charged the full cost of your stay on your debit or credit card. It’s possible that your bank won’t update your account right away if you shorten your stay. Droppy Inn Villa is not responsible for any “insufficient funds” penalties or other associated fees or charges because it has no control over your bank’s policies. It is your obligation to be completely aware of how your bank charges charges to your credit or debit card.

DEPOSITS AND GUARANTEES:
When booking a single room, there is no need for a deposit. To secure the room and the reservation period, a major credit card is needed at the time of booking.

DO-NOT DISTURB AND ACCESS TO ROOMS:
We provide daily housekeeping in order to give each and every one of our guests an incredibly clean and secure hotel experience. We at Housekeeping will respect the “DND” door hanger. At later times, the housekeeping staff must enter the room to clean it, make sure it’s safe, and confirm its condition. In the event of an emergency, housekeeping, maintenance, or to ensure that the room, its contents, and its mechanical equipment are undamaged, management retains the right to enter a room with a known status of “DND” or to address or prevent a violation of our hotel policy or house rules.

Management reserves the right to call in law enforcement to assist with eviction in the event that illegal activity is suspected. When a house rule or hotel policy is broken, the right to privacy is terminated. In the event of an eviction, law enforcement will have immediate access to hotel property and guest rooms.

EARLY CHECK-IN/PRE-REGISTRATION
It is possible to check in early, subject to availability. For reservations, please call the front desk staff directly at 1(876) 000-00. Please give them advance notice of your arrival.

EARLY DEPARTURE
An early departure fee of one night plus tax is imposed on guests who check out of the hotel after 11:00 a.m. and before their scheduled departure date.

ENFORCEMENT
Every employee has received the necessary training to address any possible infractions of our house rules or hotel policy. In order to ensure the safety of all visitors, employees, owners, property, and the smooth running of the hotel, Droppy Inn Villa has established reasonable standards and policies. Failure to comply with these standards and policies will result in guest eviction without refund. For any violations of our hotel policy or house rules, there will be a minimum $200.00 cleaning fee per room in addition to the room charge.

FREE WiFi ACCESS
Those who have registered are eligible for free WiFi access. The WiFi access code for the hotel might change at any time. Depending on the location of the room, the condition of our WiFi equipment, and the interference from other nearby wireless signals, WiFi signals may fluctuate suddenly. Regarding guest use, Droppy Inn Villa disclaims all liability.

FOUND ITEMS (see UNCLAIMED ITEMS/NO CONTACT)
Any object that a visitor leaves behind is not the responsibility of Droppy Inn Villa. But anything that our guests leave behind and that Housekeeping finds after they leave will be gathered, logged in, and stored in a safe place for the owner to pick up for a maximum of fourteen (14) days—apart from perishables. Items that are reported lost or found are kept on file for five years. We’ll try our best to let the visitor know when something has been found. We discard underwear, random toiletries, and perishable goods.

GIFT CERTIFICATES & PREPAID BOOKINGS
Please contact the hotel directly to purchase or redeem gift certificates.

GROUP RESERVATIONS 
Reservations for large groups or blocks must be canceled eight (8) weeks before the scheduled arrival date. If a reservation is canceled after that date, the remaining portion of the reservation may be canceled and one (1) night’s full room charge plus tax may be assessed for each reserved room.

GUARANTEED RESERVATIONS
Valid major credit card must be used as security for all reservations. The minimum age for guests is eighteen. Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover Card are all accepted. When you make a reservation, your credit card is not charged. Your reservations are secured by your credit card. When you make a reservation, please make sure you get the reservation confirmation number and keep it safe.

To avoid a cancellation fee of one (1) room night plus tax, reservations must be canceled forty-eight (48) hours before your arrival date. Reservations are retained until the next morning at 11:00 a.m. on the day of your intended arrival. Your credit card will be charged one room night plus tax as a NO-SHOW fee and the remaining amount of your reservation will be canceled if you haven’t checked in by then. Weather, personal emergencies, and schedule modifications are not within the control of Droppy Inn Villa.

GUEST REGISTRATION
The guest making the reservations must provide us with accurate contact information, which includes their full name, address, phone number, and signature. Every visitor using the room needs to have their names registered. At check-in, details about your license plate and vehicle description are also collected for security purposes.

HOUSEKEEPING/ROOM INSPECTION
Daily housekeeping is available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Droppy Inn Villa has non-smoking rooms throughout. Every day, the rooms are checked over and cleaned, and a thorough log is kept on every bed and linen. Visitors are given rooms that are appropriately maintained and odor-free. The personnel at the front desk and housekeeping are adept at spotting the scents of forbidden goods. In the event that our investigation reveals that you cooked, smoked in your room, or brought something illegal into the building, you will be fined and removed from the property without receiving a reimbursement.

ILLNESS AND EPIDEMICS
A guest who arrives with a contagious disease may be refused lodging by Droppy Inn Villa. If you become ill while visiting, please let the front desk staff know. If you are seriously ill, you might be asked to get the necessary medical attention from a local hospital. We have the right to take precautions during epidemics, either on our own discretion or in accordance with local authorities’ orders. If we think it’s appropriate given the situation, we might charge you a cleaning fee for your room.

INFESTATION
The cleanliness of our rooms is extremely important to our guests.  If you bring any infestation into your room or onto our hotel premises, we may charge you for any and all costs and expenses, including immediate or urgent response requirements and loss of room revenue, that we deem necessary to address the infestation.

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY OR FIRE
In case of a fire or other emergency, kindly inform the front desk. The back of your room door has a map on it that shows the locations of emergency exits.

LINEN CHANGING
We value your comfort above all else. There is a rotating schedule for changing the bed linens for guests who stay for several nights. Every day, unless the guest requests something different, used towels are swapped out for new ones. A note will be left if personal items left on a bed prevent Housekeeping from changing a bed. If all of your personal belongings are taken out, housekeeping will be pleased to change your bed linens and make your beds every day. Kindly get in touch with our Front Desk staff in case you have any more queries or worries.

LOST & FOUND POLICY There is no responsibility taken by Droppy Inn Villa for lost, misplaced, stolen, or damaged property. Please give us a call right away if you realize you’ve left something important behind, and we’ll do our best to help you find it.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY
Restrictions related to fire safety and the fire code determine the required room occupancy. You will be asked to either leave the hotel or rent another guestroom if your party size exceeds the maximum number of permitted guests.

PAYMENT
Valid major credit card must be used as security for all reservations. Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover Card are all accepted. Credit card agreements state that a credit card cannot be used unless the cardholder signs it. Credit cards need to be signed. We accept payments in cash (USD). Presenting a legitimate major credit card and a government-issued photo ID is mandatory for every guest. Unless prior arrangements have been made, checks are not accepted.

RESERVATION AND PAYMENT FOR GUESTS BY PRIVATE THIRD PARTIES
Third party payments are not permitted.

RETURN
We will be pleased to send the lost item or items back to you via postal mail. No FED EX or UPS deliveries, sorry. We’ll charge packing, postage, and a $10.00 handling fee to your credit card. You will receive a separate receipt in the mail. Any item lost or misdirected during shipment by the Postal Service is not the responsibility of Droppy Inn Villa.

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
Private owners and operators run Droppy Inn Villa. For any reason that does not contravene Jamaican law, we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Droppy Inn Villa has a zero tolerance policy, which states that we will not accept anyone, refuse to provide services or accommodations, or remove anyone from the hotel without paying a fee if they do not comply with the reasonable rules and regulations set forth by the owners and Jamaican authorities for the management and operation of the establishment.

ROOM KEYS
The registered guest or guests are given room keys. At no point will youth under the age of eighteen receive room keys. If your key is lost and you need a duplicate, you must present identification. At check-out, kindly return your room keys to the front desk.

SMOKING
Smoking is not permitted in guest rooms or corridors. Please ask Front Desk to direct you a designated smoking area. Guests are encouraged to notify Front Desk staff immediately if they smell cigarette, marijuana, or other objectionable odors within corridors.  This policy is not intended to stop people from smoking, but to regulate where they smoke and how it affects others.  Marijuana is strictly prohibited at all times.

SPECIAL REQUESTS
We will make every effort to honor special requests such as a specific floor or room number, adjoining rooms, etc. upon your arrival. All special requests are noted on reservations and we will do our best to accommodate. However, the availability of these items cannot be guaranteed in advance.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
Droppy Inn Villa tries its hardest to guarantee the accuracy of all the information it publishes on its website. However, there is no guarantee of any kind, either stated or implied, that the data on this website is error-free. Droppy Inn Villa maintains the right to alter the published information at any time and without prior notice, and it disclaims all liability for any errors and/or omissions.

UNCLAIMED ITEMS/NO CONTACT
Items listed as lost and found are kept for fourteen (14) days while we make contact with the visitor. If the guest’s cell phone mailbox is full or their contact information is inaccurate, and we are unable to get in touch with them within the fourteen (14) day holding period, Droppy Inn Villa will donate the unclaimed item(s) to charitable organizations or dispose of them appropriately.

VISITORS
No visitors are allowed after 10:00 p.m. Visitors must notify Front Desk upon their arrival. Visitors must be accompanied by the registered guest at all times and are not permitted to enter guest rooms. Visitors are not allowed to use guest amenities including continental breakfast, or Wi-Fi. As a registered guest, you are responsible for your visitor at all times.

TELEPHONE CHARGES
After every phone call, the cost of the phone is calculated and added to your room folio.
